It's a Wrap for 2025!

This year has been a crazy year for work. Lots of ups and downs, big projects, and a fair share of challenges. But as we close out 2025, I wanted to jot down a few notes on how things went and what I'm looking forward to in the new year.

Highlights of 2025

There were definitely some standout moments this year. A few projects really took off and delivered great results. The team worked hard, and it showed in the outcomes. We also managed to navigate some tricky situations that tested our resilience and adaptability.

I also took on some new responsibilities that pushed me out of my comfort zone. It was challenging at times, but ultimately rewarding. I learned a lot about leadership and collaboration. And for the first time managing a junior team member, which was a new experience for me. I learnt a lot about patience and communication, and that expecing perfection from others is a recipe for frustration. Just because I expect a high standard from myself, doesn't mean others will meet that same standard (yet!).

At the end of 2025, I was handed a promotion to the Head of Technology for Energenic AE. Huge milestone for me, and something I'm really proud of. It's a big responsibility, but I'm excited to take it on. At the same time, I am scared of it, and I don't want to mess it up. But I guess that's part of the journey, right? The opportunity is in my hands now, and I just have to make the most of it.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we head into 2026, I'm feeling optimistic. There are definitely challenges ahead, but I think we're well-positioned to tackle them. I'm looking forward to building on the successes of this year and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. Right now, I'm focused on taking a bit of a break over the holidays to recharge and spend time with family and friends. After a hectic year, I think we all deserve it.
